Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Best N' Affordable Driving School Ltd. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer combination and transporting goods to various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Drive a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods to various locations, following established routes and schedules.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition, and perform routine maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods from the trailer, using proper lifting techniques to avoid injury.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, and communicate with other drivers and company personnel as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks), Air Brakes Endorsement, Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Driver's License (Class 1 or A), Pro-Trucker/Smart Driver (fuel efficiency) Training.
  • Security Clearance: Basic security clearance.
  • Driving Record: Driving record check (abstract).
  • Health and Safety: Pass a drug test.
Working Conditions
  • Work Setting: Various locations.
  • Hours of Work: 30 to 40 hours per week.
  • Language: English.
