Job Summary

Nunner Truck & Crane Ltd. is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a truck to transport goods and materials to various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Load and unload goods
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform brake adjustments
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
Requirements
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
  • Provincial/territorial transportation/travel experience
  • Flexibility, judgement, organized, reliability, and team player
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience an asset
  • Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees
  • Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth, Veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities
