Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Personal Insurance Advisor to enhance our Personal Insurance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address ongoing client needs, provide insurance advice, conduct assessments, recommend solutions, respond to inquiries, perform care calls, and manage renewals
  • Generate new business by selling policies to both existing and new clients while maintaining the current client portfolio
  • Initiate quotes for new business through outbound calls, introductory letters, and welcoming walk-in clients
  • Collaborate with Underwriters and Adjusters to clarify guidelines and policies
  • Prepare necessary documentation for insurers, complete client applications, issue insurance certificates, process changes, and review renewals
  • Stay updated on underwriting regulations and workflow processes
  • Actively engage in training programs
  • Participate in community marketing efforts

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma and/or Post-Secondary education
  • At least 2 years of sales experience (insurance sales experience preferred but not mandatory)
  • Level 1 General license is preferred
  • Familiarity with Epic is an advantage
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Excellent analytical and organizational capabilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and credit check
