We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Crane and Hoist Equipment Operator Instructor to join our team at NAIT. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and training to our students, ensuring they receive the best possible education and preparation for their future careers.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver comprehensive curriculum for Crane and Hoist Equipment Operator programs, incorporating industry best practices and standards.
- Prepare and present learning outcomes and activities in a classroom, laboratory, and industry setting, utilizing instructional strategies that ensure efficient and effective delivery of course materials.
- Participate in curriculum development, program reviews, and course reviews, ensuring alignment with industry needs and NAIT's academic goals.
- Facilitate the learning process by utilizing educational technology, creating a safe and effective learning environment, and promoting student engagement and success.
- Assess student learning and progress, providing constructive feedback and coaching to maximize student retention and success.
- Collaborate with colleagues and industry partners to develop and maintain industry connections, ensuring our programs remain relevant and effective.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of NAIT's Strategic Plan and Academic Plan, aligning with the institute's goals and objectives.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of Crane and Hoist Equipment Operator Alberta Journeyperson certificate or provincial equivalent, including Inter-Provincial Red Seal (an asset).
- Minimum 5 years recent industry experience after completion of Journeyperson ticket (preferred).
- Teaching experience (an asset).
