About the Opportunity
The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying principles of fire protection engineering to design and evaluate systems, products, and procedures to enhance safety measures against fires and related hazards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design fire detection, suppression, and emergency signaling systems to ensure the safety of personnel and equipment.
- Develop performance-based design analyses to evaluate the effectiveness of fire protection systems.
- Create system design plans, specifications, and narratives to guide the implementation of fire protection systems.
- Integrate life safety and building services systems to ensure seamless operation.
- Conduct field evaluations and technical reports to identify areas for improvement.
- Provide training related to fire protection to ensure that personnel are equipped to handle emergency situations.
- Offer technical support to construction and maintenance personnel to ensure that fire protection systems are properly installed and maintained.
Requirements
- College diploma or engineering degree in a relevant field.
- Up to 3 years of experience in fire protection engineering or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate fire hazards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Passion for innovation and collaboration to drive the development of cutting-edge fire protection solutions.
