Junior Radiation Protection Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Protection Technician to join our team at WSP Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of our radiation protection program, ensuring the safety of our workforce and the public.
Key Responsibilities- Measurement of gamma radiation fields and surface contamination using radiation detectors or swipe sampling.
- Management of personal dosimeters for the workforce and deployment of radon monitors.
- Summary and analysis of routine data for compilation into reports.
- Ensuring compliance with site radiation safety procedures by workers and visitors.
- Supporting the RP management and site management teams.
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in nuclear engineering, radiation protection, or health physics (or related field).
- Demonstrated understanding of radiation safety principles consistent with their background and training.
- Ability to sort, compile, and summarize routine data using Microsoft Office products such as Excel.
- Eligibility for CNL Reliability Status.
