As an Electrical Safety Consultant, you will provide independent advice on engineering, science, and related topics to companies and government organizations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and validate national codes and standards
  • Conduct thorough design reviews and document results
  • Supply information for quotes, including project scope, resources, and samples required
  • Provide specialized expertise in one product category and become a subject matter expert
  • Coordinate and lead client meetings and discussions
  • Provide sales support for product requirements, including direct customer presentations
  • Communicate project status to clients, sales personnel, and management
  • Identify project needs and sample requirements for effective resource planning
  • Delegate tasks to team members to ensure timely project completion
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • 5+ years of direct experience in regulatory and compliance, electrical, or safety fields
  • Complete understanding of product safety standards, including ANSI, CSA, UL, EN, IEC, and the Canadian Electrical Code
  • Awareness of and adherence to safety practices and policies
  • Detailed-oriented and able to prioritize and organize workload efficiently
  • Effective communication and interaction skills
  • Customer-focused and quality-driven
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
Preferred Requirements:
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License
