We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Analyst to join our team at CB Canada. As a Senior Systems Analyst, you will play a key role in designing and implementing technical solutions to meet the business requirements of our clients in the Financial Services Sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with business stakeholders to understand industry trends and business objectives to design solutions that meet their needs.
  • Define and communicate systems requirements to ensure applications are flexible, open, scalable, available, testable, and maintainable in a high-volume production environment.
  • Analyze and conceptualize the design of solutions, working with Systems Architects, Vendors, Software Developers, and Quality Assurance/Testing to achieve client stakeholder objectives.
  • Apply business and technical knowledge to represent the business and technology community in arriving at technical solutions.
  • Mentor junior team members, including identifying and assisting in career growth.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated ability to provide technology recommendations to the business.
  • Experience working with Developers, Architects, and Quality Assurance to design and analyze alternative technical solutions, test completed code, and complete a smooth implementation with business partners.
  • Proficient analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
  • Advanced knowledge, experience, and understanding of architecture, application development, application systems design, and integration.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in a team environment with projects involving the integration of disparate types of technologies/platforms and agile development.
  • Strong communication skills (oral, written, facilitation, presentation).
  • Excellent ability to summarize complex and sensitive topics to effectively communicate to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to self-direct, own tasks, and provide appropriate status to leadership.
  • Post-secondary education in a related discipline.
  • Experience being a leader within teams with varied disciplines and skill levels.
  • Demonstrated initiative - comfortable managing issues in cross-functional teams.
  • Capability to establish and maintain effective partnerships and relationships.
  • Positive attitude, keeping a constant watch on how to do things better.
  • Adaptability and a willingness to take on new challenges.
  • Conflict and issue resolution and escalation.
  • Exceptional SQL skills and experience performing data analysis.
  • Experience supporting and optimizing batch schedules.
  • Familiar with API investigation and troubleshooting.
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of the Wealth Management and Financial Services industry.
  • Experience with the R Broker platform.
  • Experience with Financial Services industry partners like FundSERV, NBCN, CDS, Cannex.
