As a Co-op Accountant within our Assurance & Accounting division, you will serve as a reliable consultant, delivering customized financial insights to assist clients in making confident, informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Enhance your technical expertise in areas such as compilations, reviews, audits, and taxation
- Utilize your understanding of financial reporting frameworks including IFRS, GAAP, and ASPE
- Oversee client accounts, conduct inventory assessments, and manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll activities
- Draft financial statements and reports, evaluate audit evidence, and rectify discrepancies
- Engage collaboratively with clients and colleagues, contribute to process enhancements, and effectively utilize internal systems
- Exhibit flexibility to travel as required
Qualifications and Skills
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in commerce or business administration, ideally with a focus on accounting or finance
- Working towards the prerequisites for the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP)
- Previous experience in an office setting related to accounting, along with customer service skills and familiarity with accounting software, is a plus
