About the Opportunity

Welch LLP is seeking co-op students pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce with a specialization in Accounting for a 4- or 8-month co-op placement. As a Co-op Staff Accountant, you will take on increasingly important audit and assurance roles on client files in various industries and business sectors.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare notice to reader and review engagements
  • Participate in audits
  • Prepare personal and corporate tax returns
  • Develop skills to manage your workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Work on accounting files in their entirety

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be able to maintain good relationships with people, show initiative and judgment, and be able to recognize and analyze problems and propose sound solutions.
