YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Report directly to the Associate Vice President of Finance.
  • Build and nurture a high-performing team of finance professionals with varied expertise, promoting a collaborative team environment.
  • Provide guidance and expertise in accounting, financial planning, investment management, and compliance with IFRS standards.
  • Utilize your knowledge to establish and enhance Treasury, Banking, and Cash Management practices, overseeing cash planning and forecasting.
  • Support the management of corporate tax programs, collaborating with stakeholders to identify tax optimization strategies.
  • Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial reports, including monthly and annual statements, forecasts, and budgets.
  • Evaluate financial performance and operational processes, offering insightful recommendations.
  • Lead complex, organization-wide projects, translating strategic goals into actionable requirements.
  • Deliver comprehensive reports on financial and risk-related matters to the board.
  • Develop strategies for fraud risk management and assess recommendations for improving internal controls.
  • Guide business process improvements within the finance department.
  • Mentor and develop finance team members in specialized areas of expertise.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • A post-secondary degree in Business.
  • A CPA designation as an accounting professional.
  • A minimum of 7 years of leadership experience in financial planning and analysis.
  • Experience in public accounting or advising on complex accounting and tax matters.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proven abilities in presentation and facilitation.
  • Experience in roles requiring meticulous organization, prioritization, and strategic planning.
  • Flexibility and capability to tackle uncertainties and devise business solutions.
