Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage detailed cost models for products
  • Analyze production costs and variances to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Monitor and report on cost performance against budgets and forecasts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare cost estimates for new products, projects, and process changes
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts
  • Generate comprehensive cost reports, including profitability analyses and cost breakdowns
  • Implement reporting systems to track cost trends and deviations
  • Identify and implement cost-effective solutions and process improvements
  • Oversee the costing of inventory, ensuring accurate valuation and reporting
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting standards, and financial regulations
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • CPA (an asset)
  • 3-5 years of experience as a manager
  • Bilingual
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience with an ERP (JD Edwards, GP, etc.)
