About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Administrator to join our team at Canadian Tire Corporation. As a key member of our construction and real estate development teams, you will be responsible for supporting the development and construction of our properties across Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Vice President - Construction, including general office management and coordination of administrative duties.
  • Support the development and construction teams with tasks such as maintaining accurate records, filing systems, and contract administration.
  • Assist the AVP Development and Construction Director with contract administration, including preparation of client-architect agreements and construction contracts.
  • Process and ensure accuracy of vendor invoices, including real estate, design, construction progress claims, and supplies.
  • Coordinate construction documents, including drawings, specs, insurance, and as-built drawings and maintenance manuals.
  • Prepare and distribute project documents in various formats.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience supporting design and construction staff or general contractors.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels within the corporation and external clients.
  • Highly developed technical skills with Microsoft products.
  • High level of independence and initiative to prioritize multiple tasks and follow through with a sense of urgency.
  • Basic accounting skills are essential.
  • Agile and innovative, with the ability to manage in an environment of change and ambiguity.
  • Problem solvers with the ability to analyze and prioritize to meet business objectives.
  • Collaborative team player with superior influencing skills, who build relationships easily across various stakeholder groups.
