Speech Language Pathologist Job Description

Fraser Health Authority is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our Public Health team in Abbotsford, BC.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Speech Language Pathologist to provide services to children (birth to kindergarten eligibility) and families in our community. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our team of forward-thinking clinicians, leaders, and staff to deliver high-quality services and make a positive impact on the lives of our clients.

Responsibilities
  1. Conduct screenings, assessments, and diagnoses for clients with hearing, communication, and related disorders.
  2. Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team and client/family goals.
  3. Provide guidance to Speech Language Assistants and education to patient's family, friends, and caregivers.
  4. Participate in promotion of early intervention activities and prevention of communication and related disorders.
  5. Attend and participate in team conferences as required.
Qualifications

Graduation from an approved school of Speech Language Pathology and one (1) year recent related clinical experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Current active registration with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC and eligible for membership in the Canadian and/or BC Association of Speech/Language Pathology and Audiology (CASLPA and/or BCSLPA).

Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for work-related purposes.
