Speech-Language Pathologist Job Description We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to join our Public Health team in Abbotsford, BC, to provide services to children and families in the community. Job Summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for performing screenings, assessments, and interventions for preschool clients with hearing, communication, and related disorders. They will also plan, implement, and record client treatment programs, and provide guidance to Speech Language Assistants. Key Responsibilities: • Perform screenings, assessments, and interventions for preschool clients with hearing, communication, and related disorders • Plan, implement, and record client treatment programs • Provide guidance to Speech Language Assistants • Maintain related records, documentation, and statistics • Participate in interdisciplinary/interdepartmental program meetings and committees • Participate in program planning for Speech/Language Pathology Services • Participate in approved research activities • Maintain knowledge of current developments in Speech/Language Pathology Qualifications: • Graduation from an approved school of Speech Language Pathology • One (1) year recent related clinical experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience • Current active registration with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC • Eligible for membership in the Canadian and/or BC Association of Speech/Language Pathology and Audiology (CASLPA and/or BCSLPA) • Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for work-related purposes About Fraser Health: Fraser Health is a rapidly growing organization with a team of nearly 45,000 staff, medical staff, and volunteers dedicated to serving our patients, families, and communities.
