Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough financial analysis and trend analysis of payables and receivables to identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitor and analyze data files to ensure accuracy and completeness for monthly reporting.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts for quarterly and annual budgeting.
  • Perform audits to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Lead the month-end close process, including preparation, analysis, and reporting of actuals.
  • Manage financial accountabilities, including tracking against actuals, variance analysis, journal entries, and Blackline preparation.
  • Provide detailed and accurate financial reporting and analysis to Senior Leadership.
  • Implement and maintain management and SOX controls, including performing reviews and generating supporting documentation.
  • Drive process improvement and automation initiatives to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation and procedures.
  • Support the Manager as needed to ensure successful completion of tasks and projects.
  • Maintain strict adherence to SOX and Internal Controls to protect CP's financial integrity and accuracy.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree in finance or business-related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of equivalent or relevant experience.
  • Strong Excel skills and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and reporting skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to influence others and work with a strong sense of urgency.
