About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at GOZEN BISTRO. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our dining room and kitchen areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation
    • Ensure all dishes, utensils, and equipment are cleaned and sanitized to the highest standards.
    • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including work surfaces, cupboards, and storage areas.
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit.
    • Help to set tables and replenish condiments and supplies as needed.
  • Waste Management and Maintenance
    • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure all waste is disposed of properly.
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Work effectively as part of a team to ensure seamless service to our customers.
    • Communicate clearly and respectfully with colleagues and management.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • Will train on the job.
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to stand for extended periods.
    • Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
  • Personal Qualities
    • Reliability and dependability.
    • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions

Our kitchen is a fast-paced environment where attention to detail is crucial. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be required to work in a standing position for extended periods and lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) as needed.
