Service Operation Engineer - South Wales

We are a leading provider of fibre internet services in South Wales, and we are seeking a highly skilled Service Operation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of assigned fibre installations, working closely with our customers and internal stakeholders to provide a high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake fibre installations, including underground and overhead work
  • Carry out small civils works as required
  • Conduct risk assessments and method statements for each job
  • Work effectively with customers to deliver a professional and friendly service
  • Collaborate with management to ensure compliance with processes and procedures
Requirements:
  • Experience in fibre installation, including FTTP
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive attitude and ability to work independently
  • Awareness of BT Openreach network and PIA
  • Network build understanding, including ducts and poles
  • NRSWA unit 2 signing, lighting, and guarding
  • IPAF certification
  • S7 PIA sub-duct and cable installation underground
  • S8 PIA cable installation overhead
