Position: Emergency Care Nurse at Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)
Vancouver Coastal Health is in search of an Emergency Care Nurse to become a vital part of the Emergency team. The successful candidate will deliver critical nursing services to patients across various age groups in dynamic and challenging situations, including those affected by trauma.
- Evaluate patient requirements and prioritize care strategies
- Improve the quality of life for patients and their families
- Work collaboratively with fellow healthcare professionals
- Engage in hospital committees and contribute to research initiatives
Qualifications:
- Completion of an advanced program in emergency nursing or a minimum of two years of relevant experience
- Specialization in emergency nursing or equivalent experience
- Understanding of nursing principles and BCCNM regulations
Essential Skills:
- Strong communication abilities with patients, families, and healthcare colleagues
- Leadership and guidance capabilities
- Competence in utilizing medical equipment and performing CPR
