Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Supervisor to join our team at Toromont Cat. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our heavy equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Work Activities
    • Oversee the work of heavy equipment operators and maintenance personnel
    • Coordinate and schedule activities to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Ensure Health and Safety Regulations are Followed
    • Ensure all employees follow health and safety regulations and procedures
    • Investigate and report any incidents or near-misses
  • Recommend Personnel Actions
    • Recommend personnel actions, including promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions
  • Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment, and Supplies
    • Order and requisition materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
  • Establish Methods to Meet Work Schedules
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other work units
  • Coaching and Motivation
    • Coach and motivate employees to improve performance and productivity
Requirements
  • Education
    • Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience
    • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair
  • Skills
    • Strong leadership and communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
Work Environment

This is an on-the-road job, requiring frequent travel to various work sites.
