Menu Production Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced 2nd Cook to join our culinary team at CB Canada. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for the execution of menu item production, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and contributing to a positive and welcoming work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Menu Item Production: Prepare, pre-cook, cook, and present menu items in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to standardized recipes and quality standards.
- Preparation and Presentation: Prepare mise en place, garnishes, sauces, dishes, cutlery, and other products as required for high-volume production.
- Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean kitchen equipment and utensils after use, adhering to health and safety policies and procedures.
- Inventory Management: Receive, label, date, store, and rotate inventory in designated storage areas.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, management, and other departments to achieve team goals and objectives.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in ongoing training and development to improve skills and knowledge, and contribute to the continuous improvement of kitchen operations.
- Education and Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; culinary education or certification an asset.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of culinary experience, preferably in a high-volume kitchen environment.
- Skills and Abilities: Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Certifications and Licenses: Food Safety Certification; ability to obtain a Gaming License (if required).
The 2nd Cook will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, standing and walking for long periods of time, with exposure to heat, cold, steam, noise, odors, and other kitchen hazards. The successful candidate will be able to lift, carry, push, pull, stretch, and bend, and will be required to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
