About the Role:
We are seeking a qualified Indigenous Education Support Worker to join our team. As an Indigenous Education Support Worker, you will provide support to students and teachers in a variety of settings, including classrooms, libraries, and other school areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide cultural support and guidance to students and teachers
- Assist with lesson planning and implementation
- Support students with academic and personal needs
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement culturally responsive practices
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. education, social work, Indigenous studies)
- Experience working with Indigenous students and communities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
