About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at View Royal Childcare Ltd. As an ECE Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our childcare centre and contributing to the development of our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Encourage children to express creativity through various activities, such as art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Engage children in activities, including storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Knowledge of licensing regulations and adherence to health and safety protocols.
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
Requirements
  • Child Development Assistant (ECE level 1) certification.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Criminal record check and immunization records.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with repetitive tasks.
  • Excellent oral communication and teamwork skills.
  • Dependability, flexibility, and reliability.
