Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Plumbing Apprentice to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you'll work on a variety of projects, from residential to commercial and institutional. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the installation of plumbing and piping systems, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the installation of plumbing and piping systems
  • Read and interpret blueprint drawings for assigned projects
  • Adhere to and uphold safety protocols and measures to ensure the safety of all employees
  • Perform additional related duties as required
  • Continuously grow, develop, and learn new skills to hone your craft
Requirements
  • Previous experience in plumbing and piping systems installation (an asset)
  • Journeypersons: Red Seal trade qualification
  • Apprentices: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED). Mechanical Trade qualification or currently enrolled in an Apprenticeship program is a strong asset.
  • UA union membership required upon hiring, unless already a member
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Able to work at heights with all necessary safety training completed
  • Safety-conscious individual who respects and adheres to all safety measures while on site
  • Strong work ethic with impressive mechanical problem-solving/troubleshooting skills
  • Hardworking individual with a powerful desire to learn and grow within their position
  • Ability to work on own initiative but also within a team. Capable of mentoring and aiding the development of junior apprentices
  • Positive and professional attitude

  • Competitive base wages + vacation/holiday pay (10%) starting at 1st year - $22.68, 2nd year - $27.25, 3rd Year - $31.81, 4th year - $36.38
