Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Signals Intelligence Specialist to join our team at the Canadian Armed Forces. As a Signals Intelligence Specialist, you will play a critical role in intercepting and analyzing electronic transmissions, protecting the Government of Canada's computer networks, and providing critical intelligence to support national security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, process, and analyze electromagnetic activity on radio frequencies using sophisticated equipment
  • Manage and protect computer networks, ensuring the security and integrity of sensitive information
  • Secure information technology systems and networks
  • Use and maintain classified publications and materials
Requirements
  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident living in Canada
  • Be at least 18 years old (17 years old with parental consent), except for certain exceptions
  • Have completed at least Grade 10 or Secondary IV in Quebec, including Grade 10 Applied Math
Work Environment

As a Signals Intelligence Specialist, you will work in a high-security, restricted-access facility, often in shifts. However, you will also have opportunities to work regular business hours and may be deployed around the world.

Training and Development

You will undergo rigorous training, including the Basic Military Qualification course and specialized training in signals intelligence. You will also have opportunities for advanced training and professional development.

Education and Experience

No prior work experience or career-related skills are required. A recruiter can help you determine if your interests and attributes fit this role. If you have a university or college diploma, the CAF will assess whether your academic program matches the criteria for this job and may place you directly into the necessary on-the-job training program following Basic Training.
