Meridia Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a leading transportation company to find a highly motivated and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

The CFO will play a pivotal role in driving the financial success of this dynamic organization. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic financial plans, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and managing all aspects of the company's financial operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting functions, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Champion the use of technology to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness in financial processes, enabling the team to focus on value-added activities.
  • Establish clear roles and responsibilities, ensuring accountability, goal alignment, and ongoing development for all finance team members.
  • Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements, cash flow forecasts, bank compliance reports, and tax filings, meeting all internal and external deadlines.
  • Lead the annual audit process in collaboration with external auditors, ensuring a smooth and efficient audit experience.
  • Continuously evaluate and strengthen internal controls to mitigate risk and safeguard company assets.
  • Partner with business unit leaders to provide insightful financial analysis, forecasts, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and implement change management initiatives to drive process improvements and enhance organizational efficiency.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate comprehensive financial reports on a regular basis.
  • Manage corporate cash flows, including weekly, monthly, and long-range cash projections for senior management review and stakeholder reporting.
  • Analyze cash flow projections against actual results, identifying opportunities to optimize cash management and reduce carrying costs.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record of success in a similar role within a dynamic organization.

  • CPA designation is required.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in a financial management role, preferably within the transportation industry.
  • Proven expertise in change management and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Extensive experience in preparing consolidated financial statements and managing multi-entity reporting environments.
  • A demonstrated ability to redesign processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness while maintaining robust internal controls.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
