Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis, the Finance Analyst will assist in the development of comprehensive management reporting and forecasting for the segment, while also engaging in collaborative efforts with corporate functions.
- This position will involve significant interaction across various departments, including:
- Facilitating the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
- Compiling financial reports for management review.
- Collaborating with corporate functions such as Finance, Human Resources, Legal, and Technology.
- Conducting financial analyses, investigating discrepancies, and working closely with Accounting and Finance teams.
Essential Qualifications:
- Support the preparation of annual budgets and ongoing forecasts, including scenario analysis and variance reporting.
- Analyze and generate reports on both financial and non-financial metrics in relation to the company’s key performance indicators.
- Develop and maintain financial models to facilitate various projects and new business initiatives.
- Prepare reports on headcount and staffing costs.
- Conduct operational expenditure analysis and provide insights on significant variances.
- Ensure timely delivery of month-end and statutory reporting activities.
- Assist the parent company’s FP&A and reporting functions.
- Enhance internal and external financial processes by adopting best practices.
- Execute key initiatives as outlined in the finance strategy.
- Work collaboratively with other finance teams to support various initiatives as needed.
- Manage uploads within the Anaplan system for budgeting and forecasting tasks.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a finance-related role, either in public accounting or industry.
- A Bachelor’s degree is required.
- CPA enrollment or designation is preferred.
- Ability to swiftly adapt to changing topics and priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in identifying and enhancing processes to drive operational efficiencies.
- Strong background in management reporting with a solid understanding of IFRS.
- Advanced computer skills, particularly in Excel and ERP systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
