Job Title: FCA Ministry Coordinator
Company: Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA)
The FCA Ministry Coordinator works closely with the Director and Advisory Team to actualize the FCA Vision, uphold the FCA Mission, and embody the FCA Values by implementing the ministry strategy for the assigned region. The primary objective is to ensure a consistent practice of discipleship, fostering individuals who subsequently mentor others. This position is responsible for maintaining the FCA ministry in accordance with biblical principles and adhering to FCA guidelines.
MINISTERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
These responsibilities are essential to the FCA mission, with this role being a vital part of our ministry. The FCA expects that all tasks and responsibilities outlined below are carried out with a genuine commitment to serving God as an expression of reverence.
- Uphold and adhere to FCA's Christian Community Statement.
- Engage in a spiritual routine, including daily prayer and Bible study to seek FCA's guidance.
- Provide spiritual direction and leadership for staff, volunteers, coaches, and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship, and leading by example to prepare them for service to others.
- Participate actively in a local church by attending worship services regularly.
- Exhibit behavior that consistently reflects biblical moral standards in alignment with FCA's Christian doctrines.
MINISTRY DEVELOPMENT
- Empower, mentor, and equip coaches and athletes through individual sessions, Huddles, and Events.
- Educate and empower staff and volunteers to enable coaches and athletes to become mentors who guide others in Sports Environments.
TALENT DEVELOPMENT
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and nurturing of capable and diverse volunteers who guide each coach and athlete towards a deeper connection with Jesus Christ and the church. Recruitment: Actively seek and attract highly skilled volunteers to the Sports Environments. Training: Provide tools, resources, and training to enhance volunteers' skills and increase their effectiveness. Development: Equip volunteers in their roles by supporting their spiritual and personal growth.
BOARD ENGAGEMENT
- Involve, include, and invest in an Advisory Team committed to prayer, service, and support.
DONOR RELATIONS
- Establish and maintain relationships with current and potential financial supporters to secure full funding.
- Manage and oversee finances for the designated area of responsibility.
- Develop and implement an annual budget and funding strategy by expanding the Home Team, securing major donors, and organizing events.
INTERNATIONAL ENGAGEMENT
- Collaborate with the Director to contribute to the connected International Region through prayer, donations, and active involvement.
