About the Role
Arcadis is seeking a licensed Mechanical Engineer to join our Montreal team. As a key member of our Design & Engineering team, you will contribute to the design and development of mechanical systems for building projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical systems for building projects, including HVAC, hydronics, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, and building automation systems.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to support the implementation of process engineering systems.
- Participate in site assessments and reviews to verify the performance and functionality of mechanical systems.
- Provide technical support to project teams, contractors, and clients, and actively participate in project planning and coordination efforts.
- Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations, reports, and stay updated with advancements in mechanical engineering technologies and best practices.
- Coordinate with architectural teams and other engineering disciplines, and actively participate in project planning and budgeting.
Requirements
- 7-10 years of experience in mechanical design for industrial and transit facilities, with a strong background in automotive facilities being an asset.
- Hold a professional engineering license (P.Eng.) and have a comprehensive understanding of AutoCAD MEP, MicroStation, Revit, 3D software, and related tools.
- Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills for effective internal and client interactions.
- Exhibit the ability to work on multiple project assignments.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship.
- Show proven experience in collaborating with clients, contractors, and other consultants.
- Possess an excellent understanding of the Quebec Building Code, Quebec Fire Code, Plumbing Code, NFPA, ASHRAE standards.
