About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at 1034152 B.C. Ltd. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a Cash Register: Accurately process transactions, handle cash, credit, and debit card payments, and maintain a clean and organized cash handling area.
  • Process Transactions: Scan items, calculate daily/shift payments received, and reconcile with total sales.
  • Provide Customer Service: Greet customers, respond to inquiries, and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Assist with immediate settlement needs, such as housing, transportation, and storage.
  • Support for Youths: Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth and provide a supportive work environment.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Provide mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
  • Support for Mature Workers: Provide awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced retail environment, maintaining a clean and organized store, and adhering to company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Setting: Retail business.
  • Language: English.
  • Hours of Work: 40 hours per week.
