Licensed Practical Nurse I-Float, Permanent Full Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse I to join our team at NL Health Services. As a Licensed Practical Nurse I, you will provide high-quality nursing care and treatment services to our clients, working under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care and treatment services to clients, including physical assessments, medication administration, and wound care management.
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Participate in patient education and support, promoting health and wellness.
  • Contribute to a safe and respectful work environment, adhering to Central Health's corporate values.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from a practical nursing program approved by Central Health.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Current registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary care team.

Working Conditions:

This role requires shift work and may involve working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a team setting and demonstrate a commitment to safety and quality care.
