Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and Pick Up: Deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand.
  • Operate and Drive: Operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products.
  • Customer Service: Provide professionalism in customer service.
  • Information Relay: Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods.
  • Navigation: Use maps and other trip planning aids.
  • Vehicle Inspection: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
Requirements:
  • Class 5/5F/G Licence: Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles).
  • Transportation Experience: Local transportation/travel experience.
  • Security Clearance: Basic security clearance, criminal record check, bondable, and driving record check (abstract).
  • Vehicle and Equipment: Vehicle supplied by employer, valid driver's licence, steel-toed safety boots, cellular phone, and gloves.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, handling heavy loads up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
