The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our team in the Campbell Family Mental Health Research Institute. As a key member of our research team, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our understanding of the neurobiological bases of psychiatric and neurological disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and lead a sustained and consistent research program in translational neuroscience
- Establish local, national, and international collaborations to advance research goals
- Provide practical supervision of undergraduate, graduate, and post-doctoral trainees, as well as technical staff
- Secure and manage extramural funding sources to support research activities
- Disseminate research results through presentations at academic meetings and conferences
- Ph.D. in Health Sciences with 3 years of post-doctoral experience in neuroscience research
- Expertise in preclinical or translational neuroscience, or both
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team and cultivate internal and external relationships
