About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Data Architect to join our Data Strategy and Engineering team at PEOPLE FORCE CONSULTING INC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for architecting large-scale data-driven engagements and providing direction as a subject matter expert in Azure, AWS, and SQL Server Data architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Orchestrate the development of architectural standards, patterns, and frameworks for Azure cloud, AWS cloud, MicroStrategy, and On-Prem Data Warehouse environments.
  • Migrate legacy platforms to Cloud Infrastructure, ensuring seamless data integration and ETL concepts.
  • Design and implement data solutions on Azure Data Lake and AWS, leveraging strong understanding of cloud services and data architecture principles.
  • Develop and maintain data storage and processing technologies in Azure, including Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Lake Analytics, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • Lead migration projects from On Prem to Azure Cloud Services (Data Lake/Synapse), ensuring data transformation and preparation.
  • Ensure data security and compliance practices in the Azure cloud environment, utilizing data cataloging and metadata management tools and practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making and business growth.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Data Architect with hands-on experience in designing and implementing data solutions on Azure Data Lake and AWS.
  • Strong understanding of cloud services and data architecture principles.
  • Proficiency in data integration and ETL concepts and practical experience with cloud technologies.
  • Knowledge of data storage and processing technologies in Azure, including Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Lake Analytics, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • Experience in migration projects from On Prem to Azure Cloud Services (Data Lake/Synapse).
  • Experience with data transformation and data preparation tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of data security and compliance practices in the Azure cloud environment.
  • Familiarity with data cataloging and metadata management tools and practices.
  • Azure certifications related to data and analytics (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate) are a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of SQL Server database design, implementation, and administration.
  • Proficiency in SQL programming, T-SQL, and stored procedures.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing and business intelligence concepts.
