About the Role

This is a full-time position with one of our financial clients. As a Cloud Data Architect, you will be part of our Data Strategy and Engineering team to design and implement large-scale data-driven engagements and provide direction as a subject matter expert in Azure, AWS, and SQL Server Data architecture.

You will be responsible for orchestrating the development of architectural standards, patterns, and frameworks. This primarily consists of both Azure cloud, AWS cloud, MicroStrategy, and On-Prem Data Warehouse environments, including but not limited to migration of legacy platforms to Cloud Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement data solutions on Azure Data Lake and AWS.
  • Develop strong understanding of cloud services and data architecture principles.
  • Implement data integration and ETL concepts and practical experience with cloud technologies.
  • Migrate data from On Prem to Azure Cloud Services (Data Lake/Synapse).
  • Develop data transformation and data preparation tools and techniques.
  • Implement data security and compliance practices in the Azure cloud environment.
  • Develop data cataloging and metadata management tools and practices.
  • Implement Azure certifications related to data and analytics (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate).
Requirements
  • In-depth knowledge of SQL Server database design, implementation, and administration.
  • Proficiency in SQL programming, T-SQL, and stored procedures.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing and business intelligence concepts.
