Established in 2002, CSN has emerged as the premier provider of collision repair services, boasting over 220 centers across Canada.
Bilingual proficiency in English and French is essential.
We are seeking a Field Technical Analyst to serve as a key resource for technical and KPI analysis within the CSN Field Operations Team in Eastern Canada. This role demands an individual with a comprehensive understanding of the collision repair sector and/or the insurance claims process, along with auditing expertise. The position reports to the National Field Technical Manager (NFTM) and collaborates with Field Operations Managers (FOMs) and other Field Technical Analysts (FTAs). The FTA will support the NFTM in enhancing business operations for licensees by identifying areas for improvement within shop or repair practices, utilizing the CSN System.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a technical resource for analysis and repair-related inquiries for the NFTM and FOM Team Leads.
- Leverage extensive knowledge of the automotive industry and market trends to assist the NFTM, FOMs, and CSN licensees in meeting industry demands while supporting other departments within CSN as needed.
Case Management:
- Address urgent issues and store concerns raised by CSN corporate teams or FOMs.
- Utilize industry insights to inform decision-making and facilitate resolutions.
- Escalate complex case management matters to the NFTM when necessary and support FOMs with technical case management.
- Present and mediate findings regarding complex issues to all relevant parties during case resolution, either in person or virtually.
Target Auditing:
- Perform targeted estimate audits as requested by the NFTM to assist CSN licensees with insurance KPI performance and profitability.
- Identify outliers for coaching and support NFTM and FOMs in developing improvement plans.
- Collaborate with FOMs to create and monitor action plans following audit completion.
Shop Operations (CSN System):
- Work alongside the NFTM to uncover opportunities for licensees to maximize the CSN System.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders within CSN to implement strategies and propose necessary updates to the CSN System.
- Understand OEM equipment and training requirements related to OEM or third-party certifications.
- Assist with onboarding new shops as needed.
- Participate in the development of shop training programs.
Reporting:
- Provide monthly reports to the NFTM detailing progress and activities on:
- Case management and action items exceeding 30 days.
- Challenges related to store engagement.
- KPI performance against targets and audit results.
- Offer analysis and feedback on common occurrences to the NFTM for training and enhancement of the CSN system.
- Review weekly dashboard reports to identify licensees for potential auditing and report findings to the NFTM.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 4-5 years of experience with a deep understanding of the collision repair industry and/or insurance claims process and auditing is required.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English is mandatory.
- 3-5 years of estimating experience using Canadian industry estimating systems (Audatex & Mitchell).
- 3-5 years of experience with OEM procedural lookup as it pertains to estimating.
- Ongoing I-Car or other OEM industry technical training/certification is advantageous.
- Active involvement or willingness to engage with collision industry associations such as CCIF, ICAR, etc.
Work Environment:
- This role operates in a fast-paced and complex environment, characterized by urgent timelines and multiple competing priorities.
- The successful candidate will work from a home office and must have access to a personal vehicle.
- Demonstrate sound judgment and the ability to seek feedback and guidance when necessary.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- A valid driver's license in good standing is essential and must be maintained throughout employment.
Travel Requirements:
- Travel is necessary to meet with stores, attend industry events, participate in training meetings, and engage with corporate staff.
- Overnight travel may be required as deemed necessary.
