Job Overview: Seasonal Maintenance of Sportsfields

The City of Kitchener is seeking motivated individuals to assist in the upkeep and preparation of our sportsfields during the summer months.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize line marking tools to delineate boundaries on sports fields and ball diamonds.
  • Maintain infields of ball diamonds by grooming and back dragging with small machinery.
  • Provide support during evenings and weekends, including securing facilities and managing restroom access.
  • Clear litter and dispose of waste in designated areas throughout the city.
  • Operate equipment for grass cutting, leaf blowing, and trimming.
  • Carry out additional related tasks as needed.

Candidates with a valid MTO 'G' class driver's license will be prioritized.

Qualifications:
  • Must possess a valid MTO 'G2' class driver's license and be able to present a Driver's Abstract.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and provide excellent customer service.
  • Educational background equivalent to partial secondary school completion.
  • Up to one month of relevant experience preferred.
  • Capable of performing physical tasks and following instructions effectively.
