We are currently looking for skilled Heavy Machinery Maintenance Specialists to work within our Timmins Construction & Forestry division.

This role involves the upkeep and repair of construction, aggregate/crushing units, pavers/compaction, and forestry-related machinery and attachments in a workshop setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess the operational condition of heavy-duty machinery, diagnose issues, disassemble/assemble, procure parts, and execute repairs efficiently.
  • Safely and effectively utilize secondary materials and equipment.
  • Dismantle, repair, and reassemble industrial machinery and mechanical systems according to established specifications.
  • Employ hoisting devices to position machinery and components during assembly, installation, and repair tasks.
  • Conduct tests and provide constructive evaluations on both existing and newly manufactured industrial equipment.
  • Inspect, diagnose, and rectify malfunctioning machinery and equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubrication of machinery.
  • Compile electronic inspection and service reports.
  • Utilize parts catalogs to identify and order necessary components from parts personnel.
  • Conduct road tests on equipment and verify attachment functionality as needed.
  • Execute additional duties as required.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with customers, service teams, and branch personnel.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proficient in computer and technical skills for diagnostics and calibration tasks.
  • Demonstrated diagnostic capabilities to identify mechanical and technical repair needs.
  • Strong time-management skills to perform effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a focus on customer needs.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality customer service with a strong people orientation.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
