Job Summary:

The Millwright is a skilled tradesperson responsible for the assembly, repair, and overhaul of pumps, cyclones, valves, and other rotating processing equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend its lifespan.
  • Installation and Commissioning: Install new equipment and commission it to ensure it is functioning correctly and safely.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all work meets quality standards and is in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Education and Qualifications: Licensed Journeyman or Red Seal Millwright (433A) with 3+ years of post-apprenticeship experience in assembly, repair, and overhaul of pumps and mechanical rotating equipment.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
