Skilled Millwright Technician

Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled Millwright Technician to join our maintenance team. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for the preventative, predictive, and troubleshooting of production equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoots problems on plant equipment and determines maintenance requirements. Ability to go to the root cause of problems and perform proper follow-up on repairs to implement long-term solutions;
- Responds to breakdowns on plant equipment, facilities, and buildings, and determines the need for temporary or permanent solutions based on time constraints given by production;
- Maintains preventative maintenance programs and ensures regular checks and lubrication on all equipment;
- Maintains operation of the boiler systems, heating, steam, and energy supply;
- Assists in minor electrical repairs and resets safely;
- Assists with the installation of plant equipment and occasionally assists in equipment design;
- Knows what fits are required for various services, including antifriction bearings, and is able to make such fits;
- Be able to handle heavy equipment safely and have knowledge of foundation work;
- Assists in the development of the plant occupational health and safety program.
- Supports a 24/7 operation.
Requirements:
- High school diploma;
- Certified Industrial Millwright 433A license;
- 3-5 years of working experience in a manufacturing environment;
- Technical knowledge;
- Positive, can-do attitude/initiative;
- Physically fit;
- Able to work rotating shifts: 4 days on/4 days off rotating day/night.
