Team Insights: We are seeking a skilled ETL Developer specializing in DataStage to enhance our Global Business Banking Risk Technology division.

This division is responsible for managing projects, changes, and development services related to non-retail enterprise risk systems, supporting the Global Risk Management (GRM) business sectors.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and implementation of new regulatory and risk requirements in collaboration with business partners.
  • Modify existing DataStage processes to cater to downstream users of business banking data.
  • Deploy updated applications across various environments.
  • Design and develop DataStage routines effectively.
  • Identify intricate processes and system solutions to fulfill significant system requirements.
  • Create and develop Unix Shell scripts and complex SQL queries.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance of DataStage jobs.
  • Conduct unit testing, create mocks, and engage in code review processes.
  • Manage change activities, including source code management and production implementation planning.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of extensive experience in DataStage ETL development.
  • Ability to work autonomously by comprehending design documents and managing application development, testing, and quality assurance.
  • Familiarity with XML processing is advantageous.
  • Proficient in designing, developing, and testing DataStage jobs (Server, Parallel, Sequence).
  • Strong SQL proficiency and experience with relational database structures.
  • Capability to design and implement data warehousing solutions.
  • Experience in creating Unix shell scripts tailored to specific requirements.
  • Expertise in formulating SQL queries based on project needs.
  • Background in Banking or Financial Risk is preferred.
  • Experience in an Agile working environment is a plus.
