Site: Healthcare Facility

Status: Full-Time

Hours: Rotating Shifts

Compensation: $18.00/hr

Overview:
We are seeking dedicated individuals with a background in law enforcement or related fields to join our team at Paladin Security. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment while contributing to the safety and security of our community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular security patrols and respond to incidents promptly.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, assisting individuals in distress or requiring medical attention.
  • Maintain physical fitness to perform duties that require prolonged standing and walking.
  • Execute a variety of preventative and responsive tasks, including interior and exterior patrols.
  • Implement Use of Force/Restraint protocols as necessary.
  • Offer escort services for staff and visitors upon request.
  • Assist with vehicle-related needs for staff and visitors.
  • Document all shift activities and incidents accurately.
  • Prepare detailed reports following investigations or significant occurrences.
  • Conduct follow-ups on incidents, including report writing and CCTV reviews.
  • Address rule violations and take appropriate action when necessary.
  • Manage office responsibilities, including ID badge issuance and lost and found items.

Essential Skills:
  • Demonstrate high-quality customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively across diverse social levels and cultures.
  • Clear communication with clinical staff and the public, maintaining professionalism.
  • Composure in high-pressure situations and unusual circumstances.
  • Ability to write clear and concise reports.
  • Communicate concerns with the Site Coordinator effectively.

Qualifications:
  1. Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
  2. Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
  3. Educational background in Police Foundations, Criminology, or related fields.
  4. Proof of double Covid Vaccination.
  5. Immunization Record (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and TB skin tests).
  6. Valid First Aid and CPR Level C Certification.
