We are seeking a Distribution Center Operations Supervisor to facilitate the execution of effective and profitable processes related to e-commerce fulfillment. This position acts as a proactive leader for the E-commerce Distribution Center and the Operations Associates.
This role reports directly to the Distribution Center Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of the Distribution Center, encompassing freight, returns, receiving, parcels, and transfers.
- Lead a warehouse team of 6-8 individuals to provide exceptional customer service.
- Develop and oversee daily plans to surpass productivity and accuracy benchmarks.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment within the warehouse.
- Identify and address issues related to inventory and scanning labels.
- Prepare shipments in accordance with orders and assist in loading outgoing items onto trucks.
- Adhere to and enforce safety protocols for personnel and equipment.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in inventory.
- Oversee the reception of goods designated for storage in the warehouse.
- Manage the movement of trailers and onsite storage to mitigate product loss due to aging inventory.
- Conduct safety training and discussions with the team to prevent workplace hazards.
- Procure, maintain, and organize all inventory and supplies to meet operational demands.
- Oversee internal controls, productivity, and operational procedures to efficiently process orders.
Qualifications:
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment and meet 'units per hour' productivity standards.
- Capable of bending, lifting, opening, and moving products weighing up to 50lbs consistently.
- Able to unload and load delivery vehicles.
- Essential to clearly identify numbers and characters.
- 1-2 years of experience in warehouse operations preferred, including personnel management.
- Quick to learn new technology applications (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), Salesforce).
