Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team as a Mental Health and Addictions Case Coordinator. In this role, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary care team to provide treatment and case management services to individuals with mental health issues and concurrent disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct mental health assessments and provide treatment planning and crisis intervention
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients, their families, and colleagues to provide appropriate treatment services
- Perform key duties such as intake, mental health assessment, outreach visits, treatment planning, crisis intervention, consultation, individual counseling, education, and support groups
Sechelt is a charming seaside community located on the traditional territories of the shíshálh (Sechelt) Nation. It is approximately 50 km northwest of Vancouver and is accessible by a 40-minute ferry trip followed by a 25-minute drive. The community offers a relaxed lifestyle with plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities, including sightseeing, boating, diving, camping, and mountain biking.
Qualifications- Diploma in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing
- Two years' recent related experience providing treatment services to individuals with mental health issues, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
