Job Title: Director of Operations, Medical AffairsWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Operations, Medical Affairs to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing operational leadership of medical staff, including governance, credentialing, and contracting.
About the RoleThe Director of Operations, Medical Affairs will lead the development and implementation of human resource strategies, including proposed organizational structures, qualifications, recruitment, compensation models, cultural safety and humility standards, and continuing medical education. You will also provide leadership in the planning and implementation of medical administration initiatives related to the delivery of physician services in BC First Nation-led Primary Care projects.
Key Responsibilities- Provide operational leadership of medical staff, including governance, credentialing, and contracting
- Develop and implement human resource strategies, including proposed organizational structures, qualifications, recruitment, compensation models, and cultural safety and humility standards
- Lead the planning and implementation of medical administration initiatives related to the delivery of physician services in BC First Nation-led Primary Care projects
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with provincial and federal government agencies, including the Ministry of Health, Indigenous Services Canada, and Health Canada
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health Administration, Health Care Administration, or Business Administration, or a relevant field
- Master's degree an asset
- Relevant, recent, and significant experience working with medical staff
- Relevant, recent, and significant experience working within BC's healthcare system
- Experience working with Indigenous individuals, communities, and/or organizations in the area of health and wellness
- Experience planning, supervising, and evaluating programs and services
