Job Title: Secondary Counsellor

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Counsellor to join our team at Richmond Secondary School. As a Counsellor, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and personal growth of our students.

About the Role:

This is a full-time Counsellor position that requires a strong background in personal counselling, with a focus on adolescent mental health issues, peer mediation, conflict resolution, and self-esteem. The successful candidate will have experience working with diverse personal, family, and cultural issues, and will be able to establish supportive and open working relationships with students, teachers, and parents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal counselling services to students, focusing on adolescent mental health issues, peer mediation, conflict resolution, and self-esteem.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement individualized plans for students.
  • Work as part of a collaborative team to provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist in the coordination of services with outside agencies for referral purposes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with students, parents, and community members to promote student success.
Requirements:

The successful candidate will have:

A strong background in personal counselling, with a focus on adolescent mental health issues.Experience working with diverse personal, family, and cultural issues.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.A willingness to work as part of a collaborative team.A strong knowledge base in counselling adolescents in career and academic options.What We Offer:
