Job Description

Partner Staffing is currently seeking a skilled Highway and Roadway Project Manager to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of highway and roadway projects, from planning and design through construction and completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage highway and roadway projects from initiation to closeout, ensuring adherence to project specifications, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and subcontractors to define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.
  • Prepare and review engineering designs, specifications, and drawings for highway and roadway projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize productivity and efficiency.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, quality, and safety compliance.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, and implement effective solutions to ensure project success.
  • Prepare and present project status reports, progress updates, and budget analyses to clients, stakeholders, and management.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and excellence within the project team, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on highway and roadway projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing highway and roadway projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong technical knowledge of highway and roadway design standards, specifications, and regulations.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and manage project resources effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and excellence in all aspects of project delivery.
