Job Title: Senior Rendering Programmer Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Rendering Programmer Lead to join our team at Cloud Chamber. As a key member of our rendering team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of rendering programmers, working closely with concept artists, art directors, and other programmers to push the boundaries of Unreal Engine 5.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize, plan, organize, engineer, and execute creative technical solutions based on concept art and art direction.
  • Find innovative solutions to integrate offline third-party tools, such as Houdini, into our runtime.
  • Effectively communicate and manage direct reports to deliver high-performance solutions.
  • Collaborate with development partners across disciplines to best deliver and execute to the project's creative vision.
  • Identify and implement best practices, workflows, and pipelines that elevate the quality bar for your team.
  • Mentor and help fellow engineers grow their skills.
  • Conduct research and gather information prior to new tasks to ensure all needs and technological considerations are effectively managed.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and techniques, evaluating competitive products, and learning new software packages.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience shipping multiple AAA Unreal Engine console and PC games.
  • Strong 3D Math skills.
  • Strong C/C++ experience.
  • Experience with modern GPUs on the latest generation of gaming platforms.
  • Exposure to third-party tools like Houdini, Substance Painter, and Z-Brush in terms of how they can function in a graphics pipeline.
  • Ability to research, analyze, and optimize code to meet performance requirements.
  • Analytical and strategic thinker with communication skills to express clearly and concisely with technical and non-technical audiences.
