Job Summary

First Student Canada-Transco is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious School Bus Monitor to join our team in Aylmer, ON. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe transportation of students to and from school.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the welfare of passengers while on route and communicate any issues with the driver.
  • Assist in pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is safe and roadworthy.
  • Assist students in loading and unloading the bus and maintain a safe and orderly environment.
  • Communicate with school personnel, students, and parents to ensure a smooth and efficient transportation experience.
  • Attend all safety and training meetings to stay up-to-date on the latest procedures and protocols.

Requirements

  • Good verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Early morning availability and ability to manage high degrees of stress.
  • Judgement and problem-solving skills to handle unexpected situations.
