Job Title: Commercial Lines Service Support Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Lines Service Support Assistant to join our team at Randstad Canada. As a key member of our underwriting services team, you will play a critical role in supporting the underwriters and Underwriting Assistants in their daily tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and assist underwriters and Underwriting Assistants in their daily tasks, ensuring timely and accurate execution of workflows.
  • Triaging, logging, and clearing large commercial submissions, processing declinatures, and preparing risk analysis reports, including cross-border documents.
  • Searching for information relevant to the underwriting function and providing letters of experience, insurance binders, and other documents on behalf of the underwriter.
  • Responding to internal, external, and broker service requests professionally and promptly, including following up on information needed from brokers on behalf of underwriting.
  • Data entry in RTM and SFDC systems, updating automated and manual tracking documents, and collaborating with internal Aviva/GCS stakeholders.
  • Timely reconciliation of financial discrepancies, working collaboratively and effectively with Aviva/GCS stakeholders.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely account information, file storage, claims service support, and producing reports, information summaries, and special projects as required.
  • Automated and manual premium booking in legacy systems.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education, including a degree or diploma, and/or relevant office experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in an administrative and support function, with strong attention to detail and accuracy, and above-average time management skills.
  • Excellent technical aptitude with web and DOS-based systems and databases, and proficiency in MS Teams, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and OneNote.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Superior organization and time-management skills, with the ability to manage workflow efficiently and accurately without constant supervision.
  • Ability to be adaptable, flexible, and able to prioritize and re-prioritize work as needed, thriving in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
